The numbing cream totally works, so most patients only feel minimal discomfort that can best be described as a light prickling sensation with increased heat.

About 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the specific treatment. Your clinician will apply numbing cream to your face, which takes about 30 minutes to set. Then, they'll remove the cream and begin the treatment, which takes around 15 to 60 minutes to complete. If treating older scars (those more than a year old), both Potenza and Clear + Brilliant are used back-to-back, which may extend treatment time slightly.

The number of treatments you'll need depends on the age and severity of your scars, along with your skin goals. While some improvement may be visible after a single session, most patients will need multiple sessions to achieve noticeable and lasting results.

Newer scars typically respond well to a series of three Clear + Brilliant treatments combined with Rejuran® Healing Essence, with each treatment increasing in intensity and passes. For older scars, we typically recommend a combination of Potenza™ RF Microneedling and Clear + Brilliant followed by Rejuran®, with dramatic improvements generally seen after three or more sessions spaced several weeks apart.

We treat acne scars using a combination of advanced energy-based treatments and Rejuran® Healing Essence. For newer scars, we use Clear + Brilliant Perméa to create microscopic treatment zones that stimulate collagen production and help replace damaged skin with healthy, youthful tissue. For older scars, we first use Potenza™ RF Microneedling to target deeper layers of the skin with heat and controlled micro-injuries, enhancing skin remodeling and collagen stimulation. This is followed by Clear + Brilliant and application of Rejuran® Healing Essence, which delivers deeply penetrating polynucleotides derived from wild salmon DNA to support healing and accelerate visible improvements in texture and tone.

Rejuran® utilizes advanced DNA technology, harnessing purified polynucleotides (PN) to deeply repair and regenerate skin tissue, significantly reducing the visibility of scars and enhancing skin health.

To maximize results, we recommend that you schedule Clear + Brilliant treatments two to four weeks apart. For Potenza™ RF Microneedling, we recommend you schedule treatments four to six weeks apart. If you are combining treatments and get Clear + Brilliant done first, wait two weeks before getting Potenza™ RF Microneedling. But, if you get Potenza™ RF Microneedling first, wait two to four weeks before getting Clear + Brilliant in the same area.

Clear + Brilliant treatments tend to be gentle, and they're specifically designed to minimize side effects. Immediately after your treatment, you may experience mild redness and subtle inflammation—but these side effects usually subside within a day. A few days after your treatment, your skin may develop a rough, "sandpaper" texture, but this resolves in a few days to reveal soft, supple skin. With Potenza™ RF Microneedling, immediately after your treatment, you may experience mild to moderate redness, inflammation, and skin sensitivity —but these side effects usually subside within a few days or up to a few weeks. Clear + Brilliant delivers visible improvement after just one treatment, including softer texture, brighter skin, and more even tone. Results are cumulative and continue to improve with consistent treatments. When paired with Rejuran®, the collagen-building and regenerative benefits are amplified, helping scars fade more permanently—especially if active acne is well managed. Potenza™ RF Microneedling also provides long-term results, particularly when done as a series of three to six sessions. Each session enhances the skin's collagen structure, and when followed by Rejuran®, the effects are not only more noticeable but longer lasting. Maintenance sessions are recommended to keep your skin in top condition as part of your overall SkinFitness™ plan.

Clear + Brilliant may not be suitable for treating deep acne scars or active acne. Certain skin conditions disallow laser treatments altogether. Clear + Brilliant, Potenza™ RF Microneedling, and Rejuran® each have their own set of contraindications. For example, Clear + Brilliant is not ideal for treating deep acne scars or areas with active breakouts, and it should not be used on tattooed skin. Potenza™ RF Microneedling is not suitable for those with active acne, gold allergies, or implanted medical devices such as pacemakers or defibrillators. Rejuran® should not be used in anyone with a known anaphylactic allergy to fish or shellfish, though standard shellfish allergies are not an issue due to the product's refined extraction process.
